The first time I came across essential oils was back in 1991 when I was living in the Bay Area. A waft of patchouli lingered in the air as I rode my bicycle along the streets of the Mission District. I applied different essential oils on my body and clothes and around my apartment to breathe in the aromas that made me feel light-hearted and carefree. From that moment on, I fell in love with essential oils and could never use synthetic perfumes again. Green practices: Since the 1980s I've participated in numerous grassroots organizations, non-profits, and student movements involved in a variety of social and environmental issues. Many of my friends and associates know that my heart is for the people, other life entities, and the planet. It's our home after all, and there is no other home at this time.
