The WCDC is a federally-recognized “Community Based Development Organization” that was formed in 2003 to activate partnerships and secure resources to strengthen Ventura’s Westside. Through events, workshops and special projects, the WCDC connects those who seek to improve their lives, their livelihoods or their community to resources and opportunities that help create positive change. At the WCDC, we encourage our employees to walk or bike to work. Green practices: At the WCDC, we started using green cleaning products, recycled paper products, and use pre-owned furniture. These same changes have helped our company become more green overall. We have also changed all our lights in the office to LEDs with the help from our rebate. Certified through a Green Business Network program (Certified Level).
