Located just seven blocks from the beach, Santa Monica Hotel offers very affordable Westside accommodations. Santa Monica Hotel’s green efforts resulted in substantial cost savings. After converting their sprinklers to drip irrigation and empowering guests to opt out of laundry, they cut water use by an estimated 43%. Guestrooms have high-efficiency faucets flowing at half a gallon per minute. Green practices: The Santa Monica Hotel team receives regular “Reduce, Reuse, Recycling” employee training via the Green Business Program. Refillable pump dispensers for in-room bath products help reduce single-use plastic. To further this effort, the hotel lobby offers a filtered water station for guests to refill. Certified through a Green Business Network program (Certified Level).
