We are leather people to the core (well, at least to the skin) and have been for over 30 years. From my humble beginnings as a shoemaker in Colorado in the late 70's to our beautiful, well stocked retail store here in Santa Cruz, California, we have been serving leatherworkers and leather lovers with integrity and spirit for years. Green practices: We source most of our leathers as odd lots, from tanneries around the world, all of whom produce prototypes and salesmen samples, most of which doesn't find a market. We buy these up, both to get these leathers back into use and to complete a circle so that nothing gets wasted. Certified through a Green Business Network program (Certified Level).
