W San Francisco is the first existing building in North America, and 11th in the world to receive the LEED-EB Platinum certification in 2015. Since then, we have not stopped being bold in coloring outside the traditional lines of hotel operations. W has continued leading the charge for the San Francisco hospitality industry by developing and implementing environmentally responsible business practices. Green practices: In 2019, W San Francisco has continued its efforts to reduce, reuse, recycle. We have removed all plastic straws from TRACE restaurant, single serve water cups from the Welcome Water, and most recently eliminated bottled water from the Welcome. Also, as part of the 2019 room renovation, we have added greenness to our core. Certified through a Green Business Network program (Certified Level).
