Established in 1972, Jordan Vineyard & Winery was inspired by the great wine estates of France and the timeless connection between food, wine and hospitality. As stewards of an estate with three-quarters of its acreage dedicated to natural habitat, sustainability is the foundation of Jordan's green business practices. The family-owned winery takes into account the impact every viticultural and winemaking decision has on the native ecosystems under its care. Green practices: The winery has implemented a comprehensive energy efficiency plan since 2006, reducing consumption by 24% while increasing production and a recent installation of a solar array has reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 83%. By 2014, Jordan’s electrical use was fully carbon neutral. Certified through a Green Business Network program (Certified Level).
