The HungreeApp is a Colorado-based technology platform that enables real-time sharing of surplus food between individuals, businesses, and organizations within local communities. The platform uses mobile applications (iOS and Android), cloud-based infrastructure, and geolocation services to connect food providers with nearby recipients, reducing edible food waste while expanding access to food. Green practices: The HungreeApp addresses the environmental challenge of edible food waste, a major contributor to landfill methane emissions and inefficient resource use. Traditional food systems often rely on disposal rather than redistribution, leading to unnecessary waste of food, water, energy, and packaging. Certified through a Green Business Network program (Colorado Green Business Network).
