We are a church. If the BVUUF is "owned" by anyone it is our members who support it financially on a monthly basis. That includes women, BIPOC, veterans and LGBTQIA. Green practices: The church uses zero fossil fuels, it is totally electric. The GeoExchange system uses a Ground Source Heat Pump and Loop Field to supply heat and cooling, and all the appliances are electric. The only carbon is associated with the building is in the materials used to build the church, and that process is done. Certified through a Green Business Network program (Lafayette Green Business Program).
