Seven Coffee Roasters was started in a small cafe/roastery in the Greenwood neighborhood of Seattle in 2006 by Sean Lee. Seven is named after Sean's grandmother, affectionately called "Nana" by grandkids. Nana, in Japanese, means Seven. We roast coffee daily in White Center. Our focus is still on small businesses. Our values of hard-work, integrity, and compassion still serve as a tribute to the woman our company is named after. Green practices: Seven has gone zero waste at our Ravenna cafe and grocery store! Along with reducing our own waste we make reusable travel mugs available for customers to use from our Little Mug Library. https://www.seattletimes.com/life/food-drink/seven-market-cafe-in-ravenna-touts-itself-as-seattles-first-fully-sustainable-cafe/ Certified through a Green Business Network program (EnviroStars).
