The School of Natural Building (SNaB) is a not-for-profit Community Benefit Society established in August 2014 by social entrepreneurs Barbara Jones and Eileen Sutherland. It offers training and educational services through both theoretical and practical courses, focusing on natural building techniques such as straw bale construction, natural plasters, and cement-free foundations. SNaB aims to serve aspiring natural builders, particularly those under-represented in the construction industry, and has been involved in major European projects like UpStraw, producing the UK's first Environmental Product Declaration for straw and the first Technical Guide for straw bale construction.
