Habit.Earth

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 3 October 2026

Habit.Earth ("we", "us") runs habit.earth, a directory of sustainable businesses, events, articles and a marketplace. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and the choices and rights you have, including under the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Who to contact

Habit.Earth is the data controller for the data described here. For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, email privacy@habit.earth.

Analytics cookies (only with your consent)

If you choose Accept analytics in our cookie banner, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used, for example which pages are visited, what people search for, and which business listings and products are viewed. Until you accept, Google Analytics is not loaded and no analytics cookies are set. We do not use Google Analytics for advertising, and Google signals and ad personalisation are turned off.

We never send your email address, the content of messages you write to the assistant, your precise location or sign-in links to Google Analytics. Google may process data in the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.

Our legal basis is your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw it at any time; withdrawing deletes our analytics cookies from your browser.

Other data we process

How long we keep data

We keep data only as long as needed for the purpose above: newsletter data until you unsubscribe, marketplace records as long as your account is open and as required by law afterwards, and reports until they are resolved. Google Analytics data is kept for 14 months.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your personal data, object to processing based on legitimate interest, and withdraw consent at any time. Email us at the address above. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above, and ask for consent again if we change how analytics works.
